Type specimen: GMNH-PV-2570, a partial skeleton (includes partial skull and ear bones). Its type locality is MIya River at Iga City, which is in a Burdigalian marine horizon in the Hiramatsu Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at MIya River at Iga City
