Sister taxa: Cidarina antiqua, Cidarina beta, Cidarina cidaris
Type specimen: LACMIP 12958, a shell. Its type locality is UCR loc. 8388, Pinyon Ridge, which is in a Paleocene marine mudstone in the San Francisquito Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer
Distribution:
