Type specimen: PVSJ 886, a partial skull (partially articulated posterior portion of adult skull). Its type locality is Balde de Leyes (Norian, Quebrada del Barro), which is in a Norian alluvial fan sandstone/siltstone in the Quebrada del Barro Formation of Argentina.
