Type specimen: USNM 395173, a partial skull (cranium lacking rostrum and all palatal elements). Its type locality is Barbers Point, Oahu, which is in a Pleistocene reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Waimanalo Formation of Hawaii.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Barbers Point, Oahu
