Sister taxa: Catastylops deflexus, Entelostylops cestillus, Eostylops diversidens, Notostylops appressus, Notostylops bicinctus, Notostylops murinus, Notostylops pendens
Type specimen: AMNH 28758, a partial skull. Its type locality is Cerro del Humo, Casamayoran, which is in a Casamayoran terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at Cerro del Humo, Casamayoran
