Type specimen: PIN, no. 4516/48, a tooth (Left M1). Its type locality is Altynshokysu (bone bed I), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial siltstone/claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.

Ecology: fossorial insectivore
