Sister taxon: Campestrallomys siouxensis

Type specimen: SDSM 56112, a mandible (left ramus, with unworn p4-m3.). Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-541), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.

Distribution:

• Oligocene of Canada (1: Saskatchewan collection), United States (9: Nebraska, South Dakota)

Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
