Type specimen: NHMUK R12355, NHMUK R12354, NHMUK R12370 (syntypes), a partial skull (symphyseal portion of right dentary, midsection right dentary, posterior portion right dentary respectively). Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed)
