Sister taxa: Triplopus cubitalis, Triplopus implicatus, Triplopus mergenensis, Triplopus obliquidens, Triplopus rhinocerinus, Triplopus woodi, Eotrigonias ergiliinensis
Type specimen: IVPP V11828, a mandible. Its type locality is Jeminay, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Irtysh River Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser
Distribution: found only at Jeminay
