Type specimen: AMNH 141275, a mandible. Its type locality is Ula Usu well, Shara Murum, which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Shara Murum Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser

Distribution: found only at Ula Usu well, Shara Murum
