Type specimens:

  • Retitrescolpites magnus: UFP 38, 19.4 x 88.8, a microspore (pollen grain). Its type locality is Pinalerita UFP 34, Llanos foothills, COlombia, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic siliciclastic in the Areniscas de el Limbo Formation of Colombia.
  • Retitricolpites magnus: Slide F-III-55-596 (Catatumbo). Loc: 50.8X120.5 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain).

Distribution:

• Eocene to Oligocene of Peru (1 collection)

• Eocene of Colombia (11), Venezuela (1)

Total: 13 collections each including a single occurrence
