Type specimen: S132020, housed in Swedish Museum of Natural History, an axis (leaf axis). Its type locality is Seymour Island, which is in a Cretaceous/Paleocene estuary/bay sandstone in the Cross Valley Formation of Antarctica.
Distribution: found only at Seymour Island
