Type specimen: 3 carapace fragments, a dermal scale. Its type locality is Collina Station, Barretos, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone/coal in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: aquatic herbivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Collina Station, Barretos
