Sister taxa: Sphaerirhynchia lindenensis, Sphaerirhynchia parvula, Sphaerirhynchia wilsoni

Type specimen: OU-985. Its type locality is C1-M; near old Hunton townsite, which is in a Lochkovian deep subtidal ramp marl in the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma.

Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Devonian of United States (8: Oklahoma collections)

• Silurian to Devonian of United States (1: Oklahoma)
