Sister taxon: Gadophycis bramscheensis
Type specimen: ULUZ 2/105, an otolith. Its type locality is Luzanivka [Tashlik Fm], which is in a Selandian/Thanetian shallow subtidal sandstone in the Tashlik Formation of Ukraine.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore-parasite
Distribution: found only at Luzanivka [Tashlik Fm]
