Type specimen: LACM 16719, a mandible. Its type locality is South Tejon Hills, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the "Santa Margarita" Formation of California.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at South Tejon Hills
