Type specimen: UNSM 25715, a partial skull. Its type locality is Hemingford Quarry 12D, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Runningwater Formation of Nebraska.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (24: California, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon collections)
• Harrisonian of United States (1: Nebraska)
