Type specimen: NMNH 19931, a partial skull (partial palate with P4–M2 and left ramus with c and p2–m2). Its type locality is Canyon Ferry Bonebed, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in Montana.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Arikareean of United States (3: Montana, Oregon collections)

• Oligocene of United States (2: South Dakota)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
