Type specimen: UF 10992, a partial skeleton (associated carapace, plastron, skull, cervical vertebrae, and limb bones). Its type locality is McGehee Farm, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore

Distribution: found only at McGehee Farm
