Type specimen: IVPP V 18691, a skeleton (a nearly complete and partially articulated skeleton, preserved in a single slab). Its type locality is Near Lamadong Village, which is in an Aptian lacustrine horizon in the Jiufotang Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Near Lamadong Village
