Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: MLP 95-I-10-1, a mandible (a fragment of a right mandibular ramus with a complete m4 (Figs. 9A-C) and the posterior alveolus of m3). Its type locality is IAA 1/90, which is in a Ypresian estuary/bay horizon in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of Antarctica (4 collections)
