Type specimen: IVPP V18104, a partial skeleton (Incomplete skeleton consisting of the shell and skull in association and incomplete left shoulder girdle, femur, and tibia preserved in place within the body ca). Its type locality is Wucaiwan area (unknown locality), which is in an Oxfordian terrestrial horizon in the Shishugou Formation of China.
