Type specimen: UNEFM-CIAAP-1369, a partial skeleton (Complete skull with associated mandibles, femur and ischium). Its type locality is El Hatillo, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-deltaic claystone/sandstone in the Urumaco Formation of Venezuela.
