Type specimen: NHMUK A5428, a mandible (Portion of left mandible). Its type locality is Oldhaven beds, Herne Bay, which is in a Paleocene/Eocene foreshore horizon in the Oldhaven Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Oldhaven beds, Herne Bay
