Type specimen: MACN CH 1775, a tooth (M2 left). Its type locality is Southern Cliff of lower Chubut River Valley, near Gaiman, which is in a Colhuehuapian paralic mudstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Argentina (4 collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
