Type specimen: DNPM 515-P, a skeleton (fish lacking tail). Its type locality is Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.

Distribution: found only at Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general)
