Sister taxa: Anhuichelys doumuensis, Anhuichelys tsienshanensis
Type specimen: IVPP V5598, a partial shell. Its type locality is Dinghuawu (IVPP locality 71080), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Wanghudun Formation of China.

• Paleocene of China (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
