Type specimen: IVPP, a partial skull. Its type locality is Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower], which is in a Bajocian/Oxfordian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower]
