Sister taxa: Aspideretoides allani, Aspideretoides foveatus, Aspideretoides robertemryi, Aspideretoides superstes

Type specimen: YPM VP 000295, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Converse County (?now Niobrara County), Eubaena cephalica holotype locality, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: there are no occurrences of Aspideretoides beecheri in the database
