Belongs to Tiuclaenus according to Muizon and Marshall 1987
Sister taxa: Tiuclaenus cotasi, Tiuclaenus robustus
Type specimens:
- Tiuclaenus minutus: YPFB Pal 6115, a mandible (Left dentary). Its type locality is Tiupampa site 1, the “quarry”, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Lucía Formation of Bolivia.
- Kollpania tiupampina: YPFB Pal 6135, a tooth (Upper left M4?). Its type locality is Tiupampa site 1, the “quarry”, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Lucía Formation of Bolivia.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at Tiupampa site 1, the “quarry”
