Sister taxon: Eocetus schweinfurthi

Type specimen: GSP-UM 3193, a set of vertebrae (one lumbar vertebra). Its type locality is Bari Nadi 4, which is in a Bartonian offshore shelf claystone in the Drazinda Formation of Pakistan.

Distribution: found only at Bari Nadi 4
