Type specimen: AMNH 5600, a skull. Its type locality is Schaeffer Fish Quarry, Otis Chalk, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial-lacustrine siltstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Schaeffer Fish Quarry, Otis Chalk
