Type specimen: MPEF-PV 2358, a mandible (a single dentary preserved in two slabs as part (A) and counterpart (B)). Its type locality is Queso Rallado, near Cerro Cóndor, which is in a Toarcian/Toarcian lacustrine mudstone in the Cañadón Asfalto Formation of Argentina.
