Sister taxon: Sallamys woodi

Type specimen: SAL 101 A and 101 B, a skull (skull (101 A) and mandible (101 B)). Its type locality is Salla, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in the Salla Formation of Bolivia.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Deseadan of Bolivia (3 collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
