Type specimen: USNM 336535, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Lithornis promiscuus and plebius types, which is in a Clarkforkian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lithornis promiscuus and plebius types
