Sister taxon: Proargyrolagus argentinus

Type specimen: GEOBOL/UF 27895, a mandible (Part of right mandible with most of medial incisor, complete M2 and M3, and alveoli of several anterior teeth). Its type locality is Salla, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in the Salla Formation of Bolivia.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore
