Type specimen: ZDM 3405, a partial skeleton (a complete skull, a single cervical vertebra, a single sacral vertebra, and seven dorsal osteoderms). Its type locality is Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower], which is in a Bajocian/Oxfordian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower]
