Type specimen: DMNH 19585, a partial skeleton (partial skull, mandibles, and partial postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Bill’s Smilodectes BLM locality, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial mudstone in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: scansorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Bill’s Smilodectes BLM locality
