Type specimen: Holotype 10653, UCMP D-2439. Its type locality is Asteroidea, San Joaquin Fm., Kettleman Hills, Avenal, which is in a Pleistocene coastal sandstone in the San Joaquin Formation of California.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Asteroidea, San Joaquin Fm., Kettleman Hills, Avenal
