Belongs to Coryphodon according to M. R. Dawson 2012
Sister taxa: Bathmodon latipes, Bathmodon semicinctus, Bathmodon brevipes, Manteodon youngi, Loxolophodon speirianum
Type specimen: CMN 32420, an other (associated upper and lower teeth found in four large concretions). Its type locality is Ellesmere Island (Lower), which is in a Wasatchian deltaic horizon in the Margaret Formation of Canada.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Ellesmere Island (Lower)
