Sister taxon: Oligocorax littoralis
Type specimen: PW 2005/5022-LS, a partial skeleton (dissociated skeleton lacking some vertebrae, the pelvis, and most of the left foot). Its type locality is Enspel, which is in a MP 28 crater lake shale/tuff in the Enspel Formation of Germany.
Distribution: found only at Enspel
