Type specimen: USNM 38720, a tegmen. Its type locality is Fishing Creek gap, Sharp Mountain, Tremont, which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in Pennsylvania.

Distribution: found only at Fishing Creek gap, Sharp Mountain, Tremont
