Type specimen: BMNH In.61738, a carapace. Its type locality is Lee-on-the-Solent, Elmore Formation, Unit 7, which is in a Lutetian marginal marine claystone/claystone in the Elmore Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: there are no occurrences of Orthakrolophos depressus in the database
