Type specimen: USNM 31895, a carapace. Its type locality is USGS 3452, Cape Fear River near Hudler's Landing, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Peedee Formation of North Carolina.

• Cretaceous of United States (17: Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee collections)
