Type specimen: USNM 90080, a calyx. Its type locality is East Bethany Ludlowville Fm, which is in a Devonian marine limestone in the Ludlowville Formation of New York.
Ecology: stationary upper-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at East Bethany Ludlowville Fm
