Sister taxa: Tinodon bellus, Tinodon lepidus

Type specimen: DORCM GS 1110, a tooth (left lower molar with broken paraconid). Its type locality is Sunnydown Farm Quarry (clay: upper horizon; equivalent to DB 102/103 ), which is in a Berriasian/Berriasian lacustrine - small limestone/claystone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Sunnydown Farm Quarry (clay: upper horizon; equivalent to DB 102/103 )
