Sister taxon: Besania schaufelbergeri
Type specimen: BMNH P19383, a skeleton. Its type locality is Besano, Bender collection, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Italy.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Besano, Bender collection, Monte San Giorgio
