Sister taxa: Fadenia crenulata, Fadenia gigas

Type specimen: TMP 96.42.4, a partial skeleton (skull, visceral skelton, and pectoral fins). Its type locality is Wapiti Lake, Locality D, which is in a Smithian marine siltstone/limestone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Triassic of Canada (2: British Columbia collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
