Belongs to Corizus according to S. H. Scudder 1890
Sister taxa: Corizus abditivus, Corizus deflagratus, Corizus guttatus, Corizus somnurnus
Type specimen: MCZ 534, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Florissant (MCZ Collection)
