Type specimen: BMNH M 10480, a tooth (right M2). Its type locality is Cliff End bonebed [Fairlight Cliffs, near Hastings], which is in a Valanginian estuary/bay conglomerate in the Wadhurst Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
